A great man is gone and we are on our own.
A giant has passed. Our industry is what it is today because of the many people John Nash has touched. He mentored people all over the world with the techniques and methods he developed. His whole life was dedicated to helping others and he has left this world a better place for all of us.
There is now a void that no one will fill.
My condolences go out to the entire Nash family. Our love and prayers go out to you in this very sad time. John is no longer hurting. He is with the angels in heaven and he is looking down on all of us. May we all live up to the kind of Love, peace and harmony that he professed and practiced every day. What a great loss.
John Nash was the father of modern grooming and taught and mentored thousands of groomers. We all felt safe under his tutelage, judgment, and kind critique. We looked up to him to know what was right with our world and now that he is gone it is like our father is gone and we are all on our own. The world - especially the grooming world - is now a much lonelier and colder place without his strong and all encompassing character.
I only knew John for a very short time and I do not believe that I should be the one to extol his virtues and many life achievements. There are so many who knew him so much better, but I can say that he accepted me, shared with me, laughed with me and was my friend.
The next time you look at a beautifully groomed dog think of John and Vivian and the entire Nash Family. John will be missed by many. Please say a prayer for John and his family.
A person's life is measured in the memories left and as long as I live I will not forget him. I will plant a tree in The Holy Land in his memory.
Vaya con Dios, my friend, until me meet again on the other side of The Rainbow Bridge.
