A special message from Mark Hills at Groomers Helper
It's the time of year to send birthday wishes to our SAGE - Chuck Simons. I have a special gift that I am asking everyone to give Chuck this year to honor him for his efforts.
I believe that Chuck deserves the David Salzberg Award at this year's Cardinal Crystal Achievement ceremony. The Salzberg is a perfect reward for our SAGE, as the description at the Cardinal Crystal web site describes -
"The David G. Salzberg Award for Outstanding Contributions by and Individual or Organization. This category is specifically designed to honor the individual or organization that has contributed most significantly to the advancement of the grooming industry through personal service or research during the past 12 month period."
In my humble opinion, this is the perfect award for Chuck and the work he has done this past year. Chuck has an "open door" policy for groomers who are in need of advice, and he fields calls and emails every day. He is an avid supporter of the online pet grooming forums, and he contributes to them daily. I also believe that Chuck serves as a champion to our GroomTeam USA. He has contributed by finding them much needed sponsorship dollars, in addition to his work as an auctioneer at trade shows throughout the year, contributing products for those auctions, and generally being a super supporter of everything they do.
Most often, Chuck's only reward is the thanks and praise of his peers, but this year let's get together and nominate the SAGE for the SALZBERG. You can access the online form by clicking here.
