Maintenance tips from Jamie--Air Conditioners

I want you to have a trouble free summer with cool air conditioning.  Below are illustrated instructions for cleaning your air conditioner.

Cleaning your air conditioner will keep it operating efficiently and help you keep your cool!

Daily, monthly and bi-annual maintenance tips.

 

Every day remove and vacuum the removable filters.

Once per month remove the 4 screws that hold the white plastic ceiling shroud to the ceiling and remove the shroud.

Take a small soft bristle brush and remove the dog hair from the metal coil.  Remove the hair from the brush with your shop vacuum.

Every six months remove top cover from the roof unit.

Then remove the plastic housing under the main cover.

Clean all pet hair from both sides of the metal coils and spray them with A/C coil cleaner (available at any RV service center).  Clean the cylindrical fan shown at right also.

Reassemble the covers and you are done.

WAG'N TAILS OFFERS CATTY SHACK VAC OPTION ON MOBILE GROOMING VEHICLES!

Our customers have been talking again, and we're still listening!  This time they've been asking us for a mobile version of the Catty Shack Vac to take advantage of cat grooming opportunities in the mobile grooming marketplace.

Demand for mobile cat grooming is steadily increasing across the country because of the inherent benefits mobile offers to pets and pet parents.  Cats are more comfortable since they don't have to suffer through the car ride to a shop, stress out through the day confined to a cage near barking dogs and then spend the groom time on a table surrounded by those same dogs.

With mobile grooming, there is no car ride, no barking dogs, no cages; just a one-on-one experience with the groomer.  They are much more comfortable and much more relaxed so they are easier to groom.

Recognizing the opportunity, many mobile groomers want to serve that market and cash in on one of the most lucrative pets to groom in a mobile.  Danelle and Michael German, developers of the Catty Shack Vac were contacted for a slightly smaller, "mobile" version of their invention and they delivered.

The Catty Shack Vac is now an available option on the Wag'n Tails Pet Stylist Elite and on the Endurance Sprinter grooming vans.

Situated so that the groomer is seated comfortably in front at a height to reduce fatigue, the Catty Shack Vac contains the cat and provides a safer environment for the cat and the groomer.

The Catty Shack Vac allows you to dry the cat using the Kool Dry variable speed dryer to ensure the cat's comfort level is maintained.  The Kool Dry nozzle and hose are fed through the right side (unless you're a lefty, if so we'll put it on the left side, of course).

While you are drying, detangling and deshedding the cat, the Catty Shack Vac's vacuum system sucks up all the loose hair and deposits at your feet in the large collection bag.
